About Hampta Pass

When to Visit here?
The best time to visit the Hampta pass is in the month of October when the temperature is nearly 5 degrees. During winter, the temperature fluctuates from 12 to 18 degrees in the day time and minus 4 to 6 degrees at night. Trekkers are advised to avoid trekking in monsoons because heavy rainfall makes the mountain rocks slippery and the chances of landslides are very high.
Trekking Route
The trek starts from Manali and ends at a height of 14,065 feet. The trekking route leads one to Jobra and then to Chika, the base-camp. This is the beginning point of the Hampta Pass trek. The trek starts from Chika and reaches Balu Ka Ghera where one can see mesmerizing boulder lands and Rani Nallah. Then the trek leads one to the 2nd campsite which is Siagoru. It is a very popular campsite where one can enjoy the views of Deo Tibet Peak. Then the trail goes to Chatru which is famous for its enchanting views. Later it continues towards Chandratal Lake. The lake reflects a panoramic view of the Himalayan Mountains surrounding it. It is situated at 14,100 feet which is one of the highest altitude lakes of India. The gigantic Himalayas and the azure blue water of the lake mingle together and create a hypnotizing atmosphere.
Travel
One can reach Manali via train, air or roads. It is 536 kilometers away from Delhi. One can drive to Jobra to reach the base camp. Also, Manali is well connected with other cities that are quite near to the base camp of the Hampta pass trek.
